NatWest for Intermediaries has approached a range of specialist brokers to trial their planned large mortgage loan proposition.

NatWest has some particularly low mortgage rates and their most competitive two-year fix is 1.94%. Borrowers will need a 40% deposit to access this rate and it has a £995 arrangement fee. The APR is 3.9%. NatWest already has a generous maximum loan size of £1.5 million although it is thought they may lend a higher amount.

With more lenders offering large mortgage loans, there is real competition in this market and the banks are fighting to attract customers. Trinity Financial has access to Barclay's two-year fix at 1.79% and it is available for mortgages between £500,000 and £2 million. It has a £1,999 arrangement fee and borrowers will require a 35% deposit. The APR is 4.7%.
