The number of properties being valued at £1 million or more is set to pass the 500,000 mark by the end of the year, according to analysis by Zoopla.co.uk for The Telegraph. This property website's research shows that over 34,000 homeowners have become property millionaires already this year and approximately 9,000 homes a month are hitting the million pound valuation threshold. The Telegraph also says that the number of £1 million properties is 50% higher than in November 2007, when the financial crisis really started. Over 270,000 of the million pound properties are in London.
