Lenders launch more low deposit mortgages

A host of mortgage lenders have launched competitive mortgages designed for borrowers with smaller deposits.

West Brom's new two-year fix is particularly low at 2.85% and it is available to borrowers with a 20% deposit. There is a £995 arrangement fee and a £99 booking fee.  The maximum loan size is £250,000.

The Leeds Building Society now offer a new two-year fix at 3.25% and it is available to those with a 20% deposit. The mortgage has a £799 arrangement fee and the maximum loan size is £750,000. (5.5% APR).

For home buyers able to raise a 25% deposit, Trinity Financial can access Abbey for Intermediaries leading 2.89% two-year fixed rate with a £995 arrangement fee. This mortgage is available to a maximum of £1 million and there is also a free property valuation. (4.5% APR).
