Financial Times - Mortgage lenders target professionals

More banks are launching mortgage ranges targeted for professionals, such as accountants, architects, dentists and lawyers. Aaron Strutt of mortgage broker Trinity Financial told the Financial Times that competition has significantly increased in the market. “Scottish Widows rates have been considerably improved. Their rates have not shown up on our systems for quite some time, but this week we have recommended them to some of our clients.” Trinity has access to a lender that will happily take 60% of any bonus into account and this is quite substantial as many lenders are not so keen.
