Accord removes early repayment charges from discounted mortgage range

Accord Mortgages has removed the early repayment charges from its range of discounted standard variable rate (SVR) products.
The lender is still offering the super-low discounted SVR mortgages, but borrowers are no longer locked in for a minimum of two years. The discounted rates are available for mortgages between £30,000 and £3 million.
Aaron Strutt, product director at Trinity Financial, says: “There is a large selection of lenders offering products without exit fees, although many of them are not as competitively priced as Accord's rates.
“Accord's lowest discounted rate is available to borrowers with a 40% deposit, although there are options for borrowers with 5% deposits. The mortgages are also available for switch-to-fix so that borrowers can lock into a fixed rate with the base rate finally rises.”
Accord Mortgages is the broker lending arm of the Yorkshire Building Society.
