10,000 streets in UK have average property price of £1 million or more

Britain’s house price boom has created 400,000 property millionaire households in the UK according to figures in The Sunday Times.

Statistics generated through local authority and Land Registry data shows the total value of homes worth £1m or more totals £836bn. 

There are a reported 10,000 streets where the average house price is £1m or more. While the number of properties hitting the £1m threshold is increasing at a rate of 160 a day. 

The report also says that Scotland has 4,500 properties worth £1m or more while there a 500 in Wales.
