Homeowners with tracker mortgages are being urged to read the small print on their mortgage offers after thousands of borrowers were hit with a rate increase.
Bank of Ireland has announced that 13,500 customers on tracker loans pegged to Bank rate will see repayments more than double - and in some cases rise fivefold.
