Metro Bank has raised its maximum mortgage income multiple up to 5.5 times salary for Solicitors, Barristers, Medical Doctors, Accountants, and Actuaries.

The bank normally offers up to 4.5 times income to borrowers, although it has started providing some Professionals more generous mortgages if they have qualified in the last ten years, and they are registered with their appropriate UK body.

Aaron Strutt, product director at Trinity Financial, says: Unlike some of the other lenders providing over five times salary mortgages, Metro does not have a minimum income requirement to qualify and professionals have to take one its specific five-year fixed rates.

“Metro is happy to lend to self-employed borrowers, and it can accept up to 100% of bonus and commission income. Applicants must be purchasing a property, and they need to be over 21 years of age.”

The maximum loan size for 5.5 times income is £2 million if you have a 25% deposit.  It reduces to £1.5 million if you have a 20% deposit and it's £1 million if you have a 15% deposit. With a 10% deposit, the mortgage is capped at £500,000.

If you are looking for a 5.5 times salary mortgages, our brokers have access to lenders offering more generous terms than many of the high street banks and building societies.

Call Trinity Financial on 020 7016 0790 to secure a 5.5 times income mortgage.
