Lodger and spare room income taken into consideration when remortgaging

Trinity Financial has access to a mortgage lender taking lodger and spare room income into consideration when working out how much they will lend.

Santander for Intermediaries accepts the income from up to two lodgers providing the money has been paid and can be shown on a bank statement for the last three months.

Aaron Strutt, product manager at Trinity Financial, says: “Hardly any of the lenders accept lodger income and if you are looking to remortgage to another lender it might be useful, particularly if your salary has dropped over the last few years.”
