Representative example: A capital and interest mortgage of £350,000 payable over 25 years, initially on a fixed rate basis until 2/04/2023 at 1.14% and then on a variable rate of 3.35% for the remaining 23 years, would require 26 monthly repayments of £1,348 followed by 274 payments of £1,691. The total amount repayable would be £500,163 made up of the loan amount, plus interest (£148,438) and £1,499 (product fee), £295 (final repayment charge), £30 (completion fee). The overall cost for comparison is 3% APRC representative.
