Life insurance, income protection and family benefit policies setup for French client
Trinity Financial recently arranged a family income protection plan for our client to pay off her mortgage if she dies or receive monthly payments in the event of an illness.
After purchasing a property in London and taking out a large mortgage, she wanted to ensure that she had sufficient life and income protection plans in place. She runs her own business, has a young son and is a French citizen.
The life insurance policy Trinity put in place for her, ensures the £450,000 mortgage would be repaid in the event of her death leaving her son debt-free.
To protect her income in the event of an illness where she is unable to work, a policy was set up to pay out £2,000 per month. This ensures she has enough money to make her mortgage repayments and pay her bills. The plan runs for 30 years if she is unable to return to work.
Additionally, there was a family income policy which pays out £30,000 each year to her son or his legal guardian in the event of her death until he is 21 years old.
What did our client need to do to qualify for the policy?
Our client completed a medical examination to check her overall health to qualify for the policy. This covered her physical and mental history.
To set up the policy, our client spent 20-minutes on the phone to our protection expert while he submitted the application and the plan was live within two weeks.
How much did the policy cost?
Trinity’s income protection specialist Danny Davis chose a lender providing cover for foreign citizens with competitively priced monthly premiums. The three policies cost just over £100 per month.
