Specialist lender Masthaven Finance has announced the completion of an £11.1 million regulated bridging loan.

The case involved three properties. The first one at £13 million was being purchased as a principal residence by a non-domiciled UK citizen, who also put up two other properties on which Masthaven could use as additional security.

Three valuations were carried out quickly and the reports were received within two days.

The underwriting process was completed within a further 48 hours and the client flew in to sign the paperwork in order to secure the funds in just five days.

Regulated bridging loans

Bridging loans secured by a first charge are regulated mortgage contracts and they are currently subject to the same regime as the mainstream mortgage market. Firms therefore need to have the correct permissions in order to lend.
