Self-employed homeowners are among those facing reduced choice in the mortgage market, as lenders withdraw due to issues last seen during the credit crunch.
Aaron Strutt, product director at Trinity Financial, told The Telegraph: “It is unusual to visit a lender’s website and find a message saying they have no funding. It is not something we have really seen since the credit crunch, but the lenders have been telling us they are worried about their profit margins.”
