The Sunday Times - Lenders give contract staff a leg up onto property ladder
Trinity in The Sunday Times discussing contractor mortgages. Aaron Strutt of Trinity Financial, the broker, said: "Contractors have struggled to get mortgages over the past few years and Halifax's move should help more of them to get on the property ladder.
"Most were treated like the self-employed and had to supply two or three years" accounts, which made it harder to obtain a loan " especially if they had recently changed from an employed role or did not have a trading history."
