The Mortgage Works offering free rental guarantee
The Mortgage Works is offering new customers six months free rent guarantee and legal expenses cover.
The landlord rent protection is being provided through Rentguard insurance and it offers loss of rent up to £2,500 a month to a maximum of £15,000. Legal fees are also covered up to £25,000.
Research from BDRC Confidential shows in the past year nearly half of landlords experienced late or missed payments, but only 10 per cent of landlords have cover in place.
Aaron Strutt, product manager at Trinity Financial, says: “Many of our clients take buy-to-let mortgages although they aren’t so keen to take out rental protection.
“Every landlord doesn’t need to take out the cover but it does offer considerable peace of mind for a relatively small amount of money.”
