Should I take a three-year fixed rate mortgage?

High-street mortgage lenders have been lowering the price of their three-year fixed rates in recent months and there are some great mortgages available.

Trinity has access to one of the lowest three-year fixed rates at 2.29% and it is available through Nationwide for Intermediaries. This mortgage has a £999 arrangement fee and borrowers will need at least a 30% deposit to access this rate.

With so many of the lenders offering competitively priced two and five year fixes, there wasn't much of an option for borrowers not planning to fix in for so long. There are now a number of lenders offering competitively priced three and four year fixed rates and they are a great alternative to the more standard deals.
