No change in house prices since July

There has not been a change in house prices since July, according to the latest data from Land Registry. According to their August Market Trend Data, the average house price in England and Wales now stands at £163,376. The number of properties sold in England and Wales for over £1 million in June 2012 increased by 35% to 647 from 478 in June 2011. The most up-to-date figures available show that during June 2012, the number of completed house sales in England and Wales decreased by 3% to 56,077 compared with 57,702 in June 2011.
