Nationwide Building Society offering its first sub-2% fixed rate
Nationwide Building Society has offered its first fixed rate mortgage below 2%. The 1.94% two-year fixed rate is available to the lenders existing customers with a 40% deposit. This mortgage has a £999 arrangement fee.
For new customers, the building society is offering two-year fixed rates starting from 2.04% (4% APR) and five-year fixed rates at 2.99% (4.9% APR). Both of these mortgages are available to borrowers with a 40% deposit and to a maximum of £1 million. The arrangement fees are £999.
Nationwide's standard variable rate is 3.99%.
