A host of mortgage lenders have lowered their buy-to-let mortgage rates, including Aldermore Bank, Skipton Building Society and Godiva Mortgages.

NatWest for Intermediaries has one of the lowest buy-to-let two-year fixes at 2.79% and borrowers will need a 40% deposit to access this rate. It has a £1,995 arrangement fee.

Earlier this week NatWest made it easier for landlords to borrow more money by easing their rental calculation to 125% x 5.25%. Their maximum loan size is £500,000.
