Laws on office-flat conversions set to change

The government is set to announce plans for the relaxation of planning laws to enable office buildings to be converted into flats more easily. A report in the Financial Times says that the aim is to allow developers to create extra homes and that they will not have to ask councils for permission. Prime Minister David Cameron initially announced that he would like to make changes to the English planning system two years ago. January 25, 2013
