Increase in competition expected in the buy-to-let market

Migual Sard, managing director of Abbey for Intermediaries, expects competition in the buy-to-let mortgage market to increase and more banks to challenge the top lenders. Birmingham Midshires and The Mortgage Works are the biggest players in the buy-to-let market. Speaking at a conference in Derby, Mr Sard was quoted as saying: “We have two big players, and they will remain big players, but many smaller firms with try and get part of that business. “I see opportunity in buy-to-let. The gross lending market is growing, in buy-to-let it is in double digits for two years in a row. We expect it to grow again in 2013.” If you are looking for help to secure a buy-to-let mortgage, call us on 020 7016 0790. February 4, 2013
