Barclays has lowered the price of many of their fixed and tracker rate mortgages and they are now offering some of their best ever rates.

For borrowers with a 35% deposit looking to raise between £500,000 and £2 million, Barclays offer a two-year fixed rate at 1.89% (3.6% APR) and it has a £1,999 arrangement fee. For those with a 30% deposit, they also offer a two-year fixed rate at 2.18% (3.7% APR) and it is available up to £1 million. It has a £999 arrangement fee.

Both mortgage rates will revert to the Bank of England base rate plus 3.39% after the fixed rate expires.

There has been a lot of mortgage rate changes over the last week and some lenders have increased new customer rates. Providing borrowers can put down a 15% deposit they can still access some fantastically cheap deals.
