Housing Minister Mark Prisk has been removed from his job in David Cameron's ministerial reshuffle. Mr Prisk has been in his role for just over a year after replacing Grant Shapps. The position of Housing Minister itself has also been downgraded to under-secretary of state, rather than minister of state. National Housing Federation chief executive David Orr was quoted as saying how “surprised and disappointed” he is by the decision. The removal of Mr Prisk has been expected in the property press as he achieved very little coverage. According to the BBC, the new Housing Minister will be Kris Hopkins. Labour has also replaced shadow housing minister Jack Dromey with Emma Reynolds, who has been an MP for three years. October 10, 2013
