Clydesdale Bank has increased their maximum loan size to £750,000 for borrowers with a 10% deposit. Many of the lenders limit the maximum loan size if applicants have smaller deposits potentially limiting the size of the property they can buy.

For mortgages between £500,001 and £750,000 Clydesdale's two-year fixed rate is 4.19% and it has a £1,499 arrangement fee. The APR is 5% and the standard variable rate is currently 4.95%.

Trinity Financial has access to one lender offering mortgages of over £1 million to borrowers with a 10% deposit. In order to qualify, applications will need to be signed off by senior management.

For borrowers able to raise a larger 15% deposit, West Brom Building Society is offering a two-year fixed rate at 2.79% and this deal has a £499 arrangement fee. The APR is 5.3% and the standard variable rate is currently 3.99%.
