Barclays for Intermediaries is offering Premier current account holders 5.5 times salary mortgages until Thursday 31 March 2016.

The bank increased the maximum income multiple for selected applications from five-times salary to 5.5 times salary although the pilot is set to finish.

To qualify as a Barclays Premier customer, applicants will need to earn a basic income of £75,000 or have £100,000 saved or invested with the bank. If you do not have a Premier account, Trinity can help you open one before the mortgage application is submitted.

Aaron Strutt, product manager at Trinity Financial, says: "Many of the high-street banks and building societies will lend between four and five times salary, although there are a couple of lenders offering to lend up to six times salary."
