Bank of England base rate held at 0.5%

The Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee has kept base rate at 0.5% and maintained quantitative easing (QE) at £375 billion. The minutes from last month's MPC shows that the committee remained spit whether to launch more QE after BoE governor Sir Mervyn King voted for another £25 billion injection. April 5, 2013
