Adam Posen leaving Bank of England's MPC

Adam Posen is leaving the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee to become the next president of the Peterson Institute for International Economics. Mr Posen will leave the MPC and complete his three-year term as an external member of the committee on August 31. He is quoted as saying: "I am proud of the work we have done trying to understand and stabilise UK economic performance in the aftermath of the global crisis." May 25, 2012
