Accord scraps percentage based buy-to-let arrangement fees

Accord Mortgages has scrapped its percentage based buy-to-let arrangement fees in favour of a range of lower flat fees.

Accord is the broker-only lending arm of the Yorkshire Building Society and it previously charged up to 2.5% of the loan amount for borrowers to access its lowest buy-to-let mortgages. The building society is hoping to tempt in more landlords by offering lower setup costs.

Trinity has access to the broker-only lender’s new two-year fixed rate at 2.64% and it has a £2,495 arrangement fee. Borrowers will need a 30% deposit to access the rate and the maximum loan is £1 million. After the fixed period the mortgage reverts to the standard variable rate, currently 5.99%.
